Font Awesome Support

2020 has been a exceptional year in so many ways, as we all deal with the pandemic we hope each and every member of the RackForms family remains safe and healthy.

As the recent events have given us plenty of indoor time, we're pleased to announce a new feature for users looking to enhance the readability and messaging of their forms. We now include a built-in browser and direct form support for the versatile and beautiful Font Awesome glyph provider.

We can access the browser for any label field by clicking the Font Awesome Icon Browser button:

We've included the full set of standard and brand icons, giving you direct, single-click access to over 600+ icons.

Using the icons is incredibly simple: just click the desired icon from the interactive list and its added directly to your forms current text block. As with al updates, we'd love to hear your feedback, so please keep us posted, and stay safe and heathly!

Bucket Repeaters Now Support AJAX

We're excited to announce a major enhancement to our Bucket Repeater feature! A Bucket Repeater is a container for one or more form fields, which users can then add new instances of as needed in real time. This is a useful feature for say, adding members to a team roster.

In previous version of RackForms Repeaters could only handle static form fields. In this new version users can now add dynamic AJAX logic to any of those contained form fields. This opens worlds of possibilities, as all of our Bucket logic can, at any time, pull data from a database to populate fields.

We look forward to seeing the interactions users will create with this great new feature!

RackForms To Support SQL Server On Linux

As we roll into 2020 one feature we're excited to share is RackForms will be updated to support SQL Server on Linux! This feature, to match Microsofts current support, will target Ubuntu distros first. Use will be simple, and will match all of our other supported databases. Just supply valid credentials and you're set! We're hoping to ship this feature at the end of February, so please stay tuned, and have a fantastic, productive 2020!
